Certified accommodation in the countryside of Sastamala
Kommee Kurki is a responsible accommodation provider committed to sustainable development, local resources, and social equality. Kommee Kurki’s values are rooted in broad-based responsibility. The accommodation services have been developed with respect for nature and local resources, creating a setting where the surrounding landscape and soundscape can gently provide visitors with relaxation and peace.
The entire tourism activity started in 2016: it originated from putting a rural building back into use, and from the idea of not needing to commute elsewhere for daily work. Thus the old main building has been harnessed for accommocation usage, and reused materials are employed (for example, The Bedford Sauna built on the frame of an old truck).
The company holds the Good Travel Seal certificate (Silver level), participates in Visit Tampere’s Think Sustainably programme, and is part of the We Speak Gay Community as well as the Pirkanmaa Climate Network.
Kommee Kurki is reaching to be certified within the Sustainable Travel Finland programme.
Partake in the Sustainable Travel Finland pledge and commit to a better future also during your trip!
